Jambalaya, A Traditional Wooden Schooner

Blending the best of traditional wooden boat construction with the latest nautical technology and outfitted to the highest standard, Jambalaya is a perfect combination of function, form, and comfort.

Jambalaya was launched in 2002 and is completely handcrafted from timbers found on the islands of Grenada, Carriacou, Petit St. Vincent, and Guyana.

Jambalaya is the first Antillean schooner to be built on Carriacou in many years, once one of the great centres of wooden boat construction in the Caribbean. Crafted by the last master shipwrights on the island, she is an authentic and actual expression of the wooden ship building culture that once dominated the Caribbean.
